General Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the five following requirements to apply for a scholarship through the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. You can only apply if you meet ALL five general eligibility requirements.
Be of Hispanic Heritage: persons descended from Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, Central American (excluding Belize), South American (excluding Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana), or other Spanish cultures
Be a US citizen OR legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)
Be pursuing or plan to pursue your first undergraduate or graduate degree
Must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Additional restrictions or requirements may apply to specific HSF-administered scholarship programs. Please carefully check the specific guidelines for each program to which you plan to apply.
