2017 Black Employee Network (BEN) Scholarship Program
The mission of the Union Pacific Railroad Black Employee Network (BEN) is to recruit, retain and advance the careers of African-American employees within Union Pacific by promoting and facilitating both personal and professional growth, and by working with Union Pacific Senior Leadership toward an awareness of diversity issues.
The (BEN) Jerry Morris and Summer Houston Memorial Scholarship is a $500.00 or $1000.00 award to assist African American Students in defraying the cost of higher education. Recipients are chosen on the basis of scholastic ability and leadership. Personal or family financial situations can be a factor in consideration of eligibility and in awarding the scholarship. All decisions are within the discretion of the Black Employee Network Scholarship Committee and are final.
The submission deadline for all Black Employee Network (BEN) Scholarship applications including all
