MLGW Cooperative Education and Internship Programs -- Deadline: Various


MLGW offers full-time, paid cooperative education positions to qualified candidates. Students usually alternate between work and school for a minimum of three to a maximum of six periods to gain hands-on experience while working on challenging projects, networking with professionals and learning from some of the most knowledgeable people in the utility industry.In addition to the appropriate major and degree, there are five additional qualifications you must meet to be considered for an MLGW co-op or internship:

Co-op Salary Range: $12-$16 per hour (Note: Internships are on a different salary schedule.)

MLGW accepts applicants for the following disciplines depending on the workforce needs throughout MLGW:  Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,  Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Law, and Accounting.

Application Deadlines: 

Fall Semster:  June 1
Spring Semester:  November 1
Summer Semester:  March 1

U of M Campus Day -- RSVP Dates: Various

High school seniors can sample college life at the 2013 Campus Day on the U of M campus. The Campus Day event is scheduled for September 28th and October 26th(RSVP by October 29).


The event, which is open to students and their family members, is free, but registration is necessary.

Attendees will hear from current University of Memphis students and representatives as they talk about the admissions process, residence life, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs and student services. Guests will also have a chance to visit academic departments of their choice, talk with faculty and tour the campus.
