All Member Institutions have agreed to waive their application fee.

Free application process for Shelby County School students until September 30, 2015. There are no limits but applicant must follow the instructions below and you must enter the free code “shelby” in lower case so there will be no charge. One application provides access to up to 43 HBCUs!
Please Note: Students should mention they have or will use this application process when they talk to HBCU counselors.1) Log onto http://commonblackcollegeapp.
com/2) Click on the Apply Now button on anyone of the slides.3) At the bottom of the application enter the code shelby (must be in lowercase letter) just before they submit their application. Choose payment category Send Check. That choice with the “shelby” code will create a “no charge” for the application fee.Students will be able to complete the (CBCA) for free until September 30, 2015.
